First time Rollerskating!!

Remember spending the summers rollerskating?

I did.

I remember getting my skates on and thinking I looked so cool out there in my skirt skating backwards and in circles. I could jump stairs, go super fast, dance, everything in my skates.

My munchkins had never done it though.
So we went old school and checked out the local roller rink.

Michael Jr, as usual, just went out there and taught himself.

Becca because she loves ice skating just had to adapt to no ice and wheels instead of blades.

Belle is the one who really had to figure it out.
She is so darn cute about it too.
She was bound and determined to learn how to skate.

The rink was to slippery to start so she went back and forth on the carpet till she got the hang of it.
Then with the help of Becca, she tried going all the way around the rink (holding the sides) and did it!!

Then she got brave enough for Becca and her friend to take her around in the middle.

She eventually got to a place where she would go around the rink all by herself but holding on to the sides of the rink. She did not want anyone to help her.

It was so cute!!

Next time I am sure she will be scooting around the middle of the wood floor all by herself.

It was a great day!!
