Another awesome tidbit is that Michael's teacher told me that my son has true character. Not silly personality but real character. I was really proud to hear this. I wonder sometimes if I am doing alright parenting that one, but to hear it from someone who sees him out among his friends without me constantly nagging to "be on your best behavior, watch your mouth, don't hit her, how do you think they feel when you act like that, did you say thank you?" maybe he actually is hearing me? His teacher said that there is a boy in his class that is a bit "different" than the other kids and is picked on sometimes by others. MY SON actually will seek him out and include him in play on the playground. When others are laughing at the other boy for falling or tripping because he is not as coordinated as the others, he has been the one there telling them to knock it off. He even has another friend now doing the same thing! The Lord must be listening to me pray. I am very proud of him right now. Very proud.

Proud Momma
Busy, busy morning today! Michael and Becca are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday at school today. They went to school in their pj's, took their favorite books, took sleeping bags and snacks for a school read-a-thon in his honor. They had a big assembly with the teachers ( most of them ) wearing big red and white striped hats, and had them read the book "Go Dog Go!" It was needless to say a really long assembly. The best part of the whole assembly was that Becca got a math achievement award! Yeah Becca! I am so proud of her accomplishment! She has been doing so amazingly well in school! You rock sweetie! (Her best friend Katie got one too!)
There is Becca in the pink of coarse! She can't find me yet. Can you tell?
Becca is a little happy..ya think?
