An Unexpected Event

My cousin's husband Yosh passed away yesterday.

I knew it was coming because he has been in poor health since Christmas time. It was still quiet the shock when it happened. I had just called and talked to his wife, my cousin, a few days ago and it seemed that he was doing better. I guess we were wrong. This is just so terrible. He was her husband.

Any prayers that you might say for my cousin would be so appreciated right now. This is such a hard time for her. They have been together forever, so this has got to be the most devastating thing in the world for her. My heart hurts for her. She is such a sweet person who even now is looking for the bright side to this. Yes he is out of pain and suffering but I am sad that this seems to be the beginning of hers.

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,

3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.

4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.

May you feel the warmth of the Lord's arms around you as he welcomes you into his kingdom Yosh. We pray that your soul is filled with sunshine and joy as you enter your new adventure in the most peaceful and loving of places. God bless you.

What a beautifully written post, Aimee. You are so right -- Jesus is our Comforter. I will remember your cousin in my prayers today.
