Friday, Pamela and I started working on the set up for the shower.
Here is how we left the main table.
Her mom did the flowers, aren't they pretty?
Here is the cake table with the clothesline decore above it.
We did a few more of these on the windows.
They turned out kinda cute.
...the guys table was created. It pretty well explains itself. Yes that is a prophylactic on the table next to the cigar. It was supposed to be "manly" and they should be responsible right?
We set up a spot for the gifts right here.
We have the coffee and tea station right behind it.
We thought then as the guests arrived and dropped off their gift they could grab a warm cup of something and relax.
Here is the game table we set up to start the guests off.
Just silly how many cotton balls, write a note of advice or a prayer to the new parents, and a lottery board betting on the day of the baby's arrival. All the money goes to the baby.
We thought this would be a good start of conversation for the guests that did not know anyone there yet, a safe comfort zone.
Anyway, it took longer than I had planned so the munchkins got fast food.
Oh did they love it.
Belle stole Becca's soda though.
Not nice Belle.
She made up for it by helping me make the pasta salad the next morning for the party.
What a good job your doing Belle!
Here are the snacks we had for them.
Fruit with dipping chocolates and toppings, croissants, crackers and brie, See's candies, nuts and other chocolate candies.
Yummy!
Here is the pitcher I bought for the event from Gooseberry Patch.
It was way cheaper than the one at Southern Living!
Worked great and got tons of complements on it.
Totally worth the purchase!
Dana's reaction.
Okay so she faked this one because I wasn't ready with the camera the first time.
Thank you for the retake Dana!
We actually had a poker table set up for them in the library with the fireplace going and some guy movie's set up if they wanted to be away from the "girl-ie " party.
These guys were so sweet they just went in there for a little while to be polite and then came back to participate in the shower. What great guys!!
Here is one of the gifts that Dana got. Precious embroidery on a onesie.
She got so many wonderful things and I think the shower went very well.
We pulled out the pool table later and the kids played for a bit while we cleaned up and barbecued our dinner. I am so glad they let us do this for them. I mean how special that we got to help others share love for a sweet angel that is due to arrive very soon.
What a blessing!

Awwhhh, thank you! :)
What a good job you did! I think you are nominated for Bridgets next shower haha jk. I love that pitcher thing you bought. Do you mind me asking how much it was? I think I'm gonna try and get one for the shower I'm having.
Wow, what a baby shower! Everything looks so fancy. Beautiful!
Aww, I'm so glad it went well, and that all the planning wasn't for nothing.
I'm positively drooling with jealousy! (but in a good way)
