Bummer.
Last night was a hard night.
The boys lost their game and are out of the finals.
It was a really tense game.
The team was missing 2 players due to the flu, but they tried really hard.
The other team slipped 1 goal in, just barely, but enough to count.
We just could never get passed their goalie.
Michael Jr almost made a goal with a BIG kick from behind the center line, but the opposing goalie tapped it with his fingers as it hurtled through the sky toward the net and the ball fell to the ground inches from the goal.
Dagnabit.
On a positive note, his team ranks 3rd for his division.
He will get another trophy.
He and Becca both placed the same for their divisions so no arguing as who is the better soccer star.
I guess it will be nice to have a break before the spring season starts anyway.
Besides I think it will take that long to dig my nails out of my palms from the tense game last night. Ouch. It was a good game, a really good game. It is just so hard to watch Michael Jr. when his team has lost. He takes it so personally. Maybe his next win will be that much sweeter next season?
