Happy Birthday Jesus: our celebration 2009

Since we couldn't get to our CHRISTmas stuff this year, due to the on-going addition
we were really going simple.
I had seen these expensive signs on the Internet for like $20 for the word "peace".
Becca and I put this one together for like $4 and it is so easy and cute!

Cute huh?

Becca and Belle decorated our celebration cake.

Grandma Kathie brought a pinata.
It was our star of Bethlehem.
It lead us to candy and not Jesus though.
Go Becca!

Michael Jr's turn to whack it!

Belle was not sure she should hurt the Jesus star.
Grandma helped her give it a try though.

Aimee whopped the heck out of the poor thing.
It exploded.

Grandma Kathie tried to fill it the way the hippie in me would have with tons of peanuts and granola bars, but the grandma in her sent gum and candy to make her grand munchkins squeal!
I know, it is all about the kids anyway.

Since Jesus received gifts from the 3 wise men on the day of his birth the munchkins got to open some as well.

We got a fun family game.
It has already had a bunch of use.

Michael Jr got the cool hat on his head and snow clothes from Mom & Dad.
Grandma gave him something to make a dog paw print with.

Aimee got snow clothes too from Mom & Dad.
A Spanish/English translator and a blanket from Grandma.

Becca and Belle got (surprise) snow clothes from Mom & Dad.
Tinkerbelle stuff from Grandma for the girls.

Yes, I had to spoil Belle a little, I got her a new baby doll and a crib.
I think she likes them.

After the clean up, we packed all the munchkins new snow clothes into suitcases and got ready for their biggest gift...
