Monday breakfast

Monday mornings at our house are hard. Nobody wants to get up. Everybody hates school. Their teachers are all boring. My personal favorite is:" there is nothing in this house to eat and I can't go to school with out food, the principal said."
Groovy. I just spent 2-3 hours at Winco shopping for food that everyone would like and will eat. Then I spent another 1-2 hours putting it all away to wake up on Monday and find that there is NOTHING IN THIS HOUSE TO EAT THAT IS ANY GOOD!! Man, my munchkins are so spoiled! They have left over pancakes in the fridge, cut up watermelon, big bowl of loquats on the counter, scrambled eggs just waiting for a tortilla and the beans in the fridge, instant oatmeal (if they want to cook themselves :-) ) or even I have granola bars. Believe it or not I have cereal, the go to breakfast staple.
Apparently this means that we have no food to my munchkins though. I have no idea what Monday breakfast is supposed to consist of. I am going to have to do a google search on this. Maybe they have a book on the appropriate Monday morning breakfast choices. This is one reason why I think they need to send all parents home from the hospital with a little book of instructions. It would make my Mondays so much less stressful.
The worst part is, if you can believe it, I was a Child Development Major.
Shouldn't this be easier for me?
Oh well.
Love them oodles.
Off to MomsMenu.com for some great kids breakfast ideas.

Since I''m the Grandma I can suggest that you serve them cookies from your cookie contest tryouts, every Monday. Lots of cookies. That's just what I would do....now that I'm the Grandma.
