Aimee Rocks!

Aimee had her spring concert for choir last night. The Jazz 2 band played first. They were pretty good, but Belle did not think so. She wanted out of there! "Waaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaa! Outside Now! Waaaaaa!"
Okay , well maybe she didn't say 'outside now' but everyone knew that was what she ment. Anywho, while my beautiful daughter was singing on the stage I was outside with Belle peeking in and listening at the door, that I cracked open, not to the merriment of the people seated there but I don't care. They were late and got the yucky seats, so they can deal with my noisy baby with me. Next time they will be early to hear my angel sing from the front of the MP room. Serves them right! She sounded beautiful even over Belle's teething banter. Mushy mom that I am, I got all teary eyed. I wish we had a choir at church that she could join.
Then the Jazz 1 band played. They are really good. I would have liked to have been in there appreciating their talents but as I pointed out before Belle did not really like the production and was telling anyone who had ears how she felt about the situation. She did not hold back at all. Then in the middle of Jazz 1's performance the teacher stopped and passed out awards. Aimee and a few of her friends in that class got awards! Aimee got an award and I missed it!!! She came outside and showed it to me. I was so incredibly happy for her but I missed her getting her award. Dagnabit! I am the mom that does not miss those things! Phooey! Aimee was laughing at me getting mad that I missed it, but I could not stay mad because I was so proud of her. Yeah Aimee! You Rock!
She knows she does, but she still stayed up till 11:00 on her high of happiness! I couldn't blame her. How many awards do you get in Jr High? Not to many, so this is a big deal. I am still beaming for her. Guess what world? My daughter got an award!!! I am so proud of her!! Do you think channel 11 would cover this story in the news this morning? They should.
