"Blessed is she who believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!" Luke 1:45
It will be accomplished.
It will be accomplished.
It will be accomplished.
It will be accomplished.
It will be accomplished.
I have the tree up.
I have the munchkins presents wrapped.
I have a HUGE mess in the "to be dinning room" with baskets to be made for family and Michael's co-workers.
I have NO idea what I will be serving for Christmas Eve.
I only have half of the baking done that should be already.
We (youth group)are going to make more cookies tonight, to donate to a local emergency room, for all the employees that will be there CHRISTmas day.
I still am setting up the small bags of candy to "share a Jingle" on Sunday.
We are supposed to go look at CHRISTmas lights tonight(youth group).
And the list goes on....
Wah. I sound like such a baby, but really I am not stressed out about it this year for some reason. I feel like it is all going to come together perfectly whether this stuff gets done or not. I actually felt more peace the more I did secret little "Santa" things I did this year. They were just little opportunities that popped up that I just went with.
Here is an example. When I was at the munchkins book fair at school this week they were having a buy one get one free sale. There was a boy in there shopping. He looked really excited. He really wanted this $10 book but he only had enough for a $3. He stood in line and tried to tell the lady at the front that he wanted the $10 book for his brother for CHRISTmas and so since it was buy one get one free, he wanted to buy the $3 book for himself and get the $10 book for free for his brother.
The lady at the front told him no. The bell to go to class had rung so he should leave his books there and go to class then at the next recess he could come and find another $3 book for his brother then. Poor baby looked so deflated. He put the $10 book back and with his head hung kinda shuffled off to his class.
So You know me, I went and picked back up that book went right up to the front as soon as he left and said to the lady that I wanted to buy the books for the boy plus a couple of pencils and bookmarks but not to tell him who had done this for him.
She looked at me confused. "Why would you want to do that? He should learn to buy his own books. That book is $10! He was just trying to scam me."
I looked at her with the sweetest smile of pure CHRISTmas and said " God put me here today to do this. I don't need anything here for my munchkins.I did not even know why I came in here until just a few minutes ago. We have all that we need, but that boy NEEDS something today, and I am going to be the one to give him this little bit of CHRISTmas. So how much do I owe you?"
She said "Are you for real?"
I just smiled my reply and got out my ATM card.
She shrugged her shoulders and gave me my total. I paid and left the school.
I know she thought I was crazy. I really don't care. I know that I did a good thing. Even if he was trying to scam her and ended up scamming me, I still think I did a good thing.
So to bring this back around to "Blessed is she who believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!" I am believing that this will be a wonderful CHRISTmas. I am believing that I will relieve the stress of others in some small way so that their CHRISTmas will be that much more relaxed as well.
