8 days

There are only 8 days left of school for my munchkins. I can't wait for them to be home for the summer. The price of gas has changed some of my plans for things to do with them though. (Last night we paid $4.07 a gallon at Costco! This is insane. ) I am still planning on VBS for them and the summer reading program at the library. I hope they can have some get together's with their friends too. During the school year it is so hard with Girl Scouts, Soccer and everything else for the little ones to work on their friendships. I think that is really important for them to have also. I am going to be starting some projects on archeology with them. I think that it could be interesting for all of them at all of their different levels. I want to, if we have time, maybe study up on rocks also. Be able to tell them apart and how they are formed. Kinda cool I hope. Then I will end it with a trip to the Discovery Center in Irvine. Michael Jr got to go there for a field trip and had oodles of fun. I thought he could be our tour guide. He would like that. I think this summer could be really fun.

Howdy there, Mrs. Fund Raising Chairman and Archeologist! Didn't have enough to do with your four treasures did ya? So, naturally, a fund raising chairmanship was tempting as can be! I can hardly wait to win my bet that when Aimee gets to high school you will coach the cheerleaders!

Summer plans sound great! Wish I lived in your huse for the summer and could do all that fun stuff! Fuel here is $427 a galon, so I'm finding fun really close. Our neighborhood had a party last night, barbeque, and I met lots of neighbors I'd never seen, who live right here in my block. There are also some really interesting ones that are younger, some still working, and they have interesting tales to tell. Melissa is starting a party business, but times are not good for that, so she got out some of her party figures, like life size cardboard cutouts of Elvis, Clint Eastwood, Marilyn Monroe, Liberace, to stand at all the trees in our lawn area for photo shoots! I thought of you, becauseI think you would do so well at party planning when the economy picks up!
