What the heck is that?

Oh my gosh it is a hornet!

I took this picture after it passed away, but look at how big that is!

Hornets are not common in So Cal. They are from Europe and the East Coast.

How it ended up in our backyard I have no idea.

Since Michael Jr was just recently stung by a bunch of yellow jackets thank God this insect did not choose to sting the heck out of him before it decided to go hang out with the insect angels.

I read that these sting worse.
